Hermiston landed four players on the Columbia River Conference all-star volleyball, including the league’s player of the year.

Junior Crystal Schmidt, who led the Bulldogs in kills and blocks, was tabbed with the league’s top individual honor. Schmidt averaged 3.45 kills per set for a total of 183 (.212 hitting percentage) and had 196 blocks.

Two more Dawgs claimed first-team honors, junior captains Gracie Flyg and Maloree Moss. Flyg was second on the club with 119 kills, averaging 2.25 per set. Moss tallied 1,103 set assists and had 199 digs. She also served 85 percent with 17 aces.

Hermiston’s lone second-team choice was junior Cheyanne Lawson. The outside hitter notched 73 kills and 26 blocks.

The Bulldogs and The Dalles-Wahtonka both had four selections, while Hood River Valley and Pendleton had three each.
