The Hermiston Bulldogs clinched their second-straight Columbia River Conference title on Tuesday, but were taken to the brink with Hood River Valley on Thursday in The Dawg House.
The Dawgs came from two sets down and won a five-set marathon (22-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23, 17-15) behind 25 kills from senior Crystal Schmidt.
