As part of Pendleton Cattle Barons Weekend, a number of local students received college scholarships to pursue a career in agriculture or animal sciences.

“It’s about protecting our Western heritage in northeast Oregon,” said Beau Reynolds, Cattle Barons treasurer.

Hermiston High School students that were awarded $1,500 scholarships include Tanna Osmin and Wyatt Paschal.
