Monday, Dec. 20

3:51 a.m. — A caller reported the theft of a vehicle on West Tamarack Avenue, Hermiston.

11:13 a.m. — Hermiston police took a report for graffiti at East Highland Avenue and South Highway 395.

4:26 p.m. — A woman asked to speak to a Hermiston officer about the vehicle collision she had at about 6 a.m. at the four-way stop at East Jennie Avenue and Northeast Fourth Street. She said she wanted to make a report because she hit the car in front of her, but the driver drove off without pulling over. Police took a report.

Tuesday, Dec. 21

12:24 p.m. — A Heppner resident reported two pit bull dogs were loose on Southeast Court Street. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded and cited the owner of the dogs for having dogs at large.

12:44 p.m. — A caller at the Northwestern Motel & RV Park, 389 N. Main St., Heppner, reported a large pit bull dog was injured but friendly and workers were trying to contain it. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded and found this was regarding the same dogs as the previous report.

3:39 p.m. — A FedEx truck rolled at Carty Generating Station, 73396 Tower Road, Boardman. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle.

5:40 p.m. — A resident on Division Road, Irrigon, reported she needed to make a missing person report.

5:51 p.m. — The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office advised other law enforcement agencies of a person threatening to crash a vehicle with a 50-gallon tank of propane in the back driving in the area of Highway 730 and Interstate 84 near Boardman. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy found the driver and returned the person to their home.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

12:28 a.m. — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on East Highway 730, Irrigon, for residents fighting. The sheriff’s office took a report.

12:38 a.m. — Hermiston police received a report of a male jumping on silver station wagon in the parking lot at Burger King, 1730 N. First St.

9:46 a.m. — Hermiston police received a complaint about child abuse or neglect.

10:45 a.m. — Emergency services responded to the Interstate 84 westbound off ramp at Boardman for a vehicle that rolled.

11:30 a.m. — A resident on Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston, reported someone has been breaking into her car, and last night someone broke in and took $200

2:32 p.m. — A caller asked Hermiston police to respond to East Elm Avenue and North First Street where a male was with a little girl at the four-way stop and asking for money. Police checked, but they were gone.

3:04 p.m. — A caller told police his father lives on Northwest 11th Street, Hermiston, but his father is away and there may be several people at the home that should not be there.

5:30 p.m. — A 911 caller reported his sister on Anderson Road, Boardman, called to tell him that her boyfriend pointed a gun at her face.

Thursday, Dec. 23

8:32 a.m. — Hermiston police responded to the 200 block of Southeast Third Street on a report of a burglary. Police took a report.

8:38 p.m. — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a request for help from a Boardman resident who may have been suffering a mental or emotional crisis.

Friday, Dec. 24

5:08 p.m. — A caller reported hearing approximately six gunshots in the area of loud music at Southwest Nevada Avenue and Second Street, Irrigon.

6:43 p.m. — Hermiston police responded to the 1100 block of Southeast Fourth Street on a report of an assault.

Saturday, Dec. 25

5:45 a.m. — A Boardman resident in the area of Kunze Lane and Miller Road reported something suspicious may be causing a dog to bark. The caller also reported setting off their car alarm to scare anyone away.

12:55 p.m. — Hermiston police responded to Northwest Eucalyptus Drive on a report of a vehicle crash.

Sunday, Dec. 26

12:35 a.m. — A caller reported a male was standing outside a residence Southeast Fifth Street, Hermiston, and her roommate has a restraining order against him.

12:50 p.m. — A 911 caller in on Southeast Sixth Street, Hermiston, reported needing help and then hanging up.

10:08 p.m. — Hermiston police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Southwest 11th Street.

Arrests, citations

Dec. 20

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Don Garza, 43, for first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief (vandalism), and first- and second-degree trespass.

Dec. 22

Hermiston police arrested Daniel Valdovino Mendoza, 48, for first-degree theft and first-degree trespass.

Dec. 24

Umatilla police arrested Cristian Chavez Flores, 24, for first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, menacing, interfering with making a report, violating a restraining order and resisting arrest.

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eden Orozco Jimenez, 27, for DUII, reckless endangering and reckless driving.

Dec. 25

Hermiston police arrested Robert Joshua Alegria, 39, for second-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct.
