I am writing in support of Rod Hardin for the position of city councilman in the upcoming election. I have known Mr. Hardin since 1990 when we enrolled our daughter in Hermiston Christian School. Rod is the principal of HCS and the teacher in the upper learning center. He is a dedicated, hard working teacher and principal. His dedication to the school doesn’t end with his teaching and principal’s duties. He also manages to coordinate and run the school fundraisers each year. Two of the largest ones are the Fourth of July fireworks booth and HCS food booth at the Umatilla County Fair. Rod is always on the scene, bringing more supplies and checking in to see that everything is running smoothly. During these fundraisers, his day starts at 5 in the morning and ends at midnight. Rod is also on the Juvenile Accountability Board and is currently on the Hermiston City Council. He keeps up on city issues, studies the business brought before the council and makes informed decisions. He is reliable, honest and hardworking. I am proud to support Rod Hardin for city council.
