It is my hope that the voters will consider support for Larry Lindsey and Marv Padberg for Morrow County Port Commissioners in the upcoming election. These two people have proven themselves in the past by working to bring economic development to the community. They have worked together with the other commissioners and the manager of the Port of Morrow to keep local industries in the port for local jobs for our community.
One only needs to drive through the Port of Morrow to note the activity of the businesses and the growth and expansion since these two have been on the Port Commission. Their dedication to keep our communities thriving with economic strength is unwavering.
The Port of Morrow is one of the most aggressive of the 23 ports in the state of Oregon. It is also the largest inland container dock in the United States, and Larry and Marv have been a part of the forceful machine that has brought this about. The port is responsible for helping to generate more than 2,000 jobs at the present time
It was my privilege to work with Larry and Marv for about 17 years as a fellow commissioner. I am fully aware of the time, effort and dedication it takes to bring about the progress of production to the port and the community.
