Sharon L. Mills
December 7, 1952 - March 17, 2018

Sharon L. Mills of Nyssa, Oregon, was born in Walla Walla, Washington, on December 7, 1952, the fifth child and only daughter of parents Dilford and Amy Mills. She died March 17, 2018, in Nyssa at the age of 65 years, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Sharon attended Hermiston schools, part of the Class of 1971. She grew up on the Mills dairy on South Edwards Road.

Sharon deeply loved horse riding when she was young. She spent several years working in home health care, which she also had a great passion for. Later in life, while disabled with chronic illnesses, she was active in the Owyhee Community Church. Sharon was an active member at the Nyssa Senior Center, where she played bingo and pinochle with friends. She developed a fondness for adult coloring books, a way by which she could express herself through color. Sharon cherished her family and friends. Along with visiting and meeting new people, she loved to bake sweet breads and cookies.

Sharon is survived by her daughter Randi Stevens of Nyssa, Oregon; son Jason Pritchard of Eastvale, California; two grandchildren, Gwennan and Kynan Pritchard; and brothers Randy and Steve Mills of Hermiston, Oregon.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Justin, and brothers Jerry, Tom and Dennis Mills.

By her wishes, there will be a family memorial on June 16th at Hat Rock State Park, near Hermiston.

Contributions in her memory to any Hospice or local senior center of your choosing would be greatly appreciated by the family.
