Ruby A. Fulleton Veatch, 63, of Irrigon passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at home with her husband Bob at her side. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Family Worship Center in Irrigon.
Ruby was born June 27, 1950, at Ontario, Oregon, the daughter of Roice and Betty Predmore Fulleton. She was raised and attended school in Heppner, graduating in 1968. After high school she received a bachelors degree in education from Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. Ruby also attended Montana State University and was a member of their rodeo team.
She married Tom Shear of Eugene and they had two children. They later divorced.
Ruby married the love of her life, Robert Veatch, in Coeur dAlene, Idaho, on August 2, 2008. The couple resided in Irrigon, Oregon.
She enjoyed anything to do with horses, enjoyed the outdoors and being with her family. She and her husband Bob did a lot of traveling and thoroughly enjoyed each others company.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Veatch; son Ryan and his wife Stefanie of Sheridan, Oregon; daughter Ann Shear of Hermiston; father Roice Fulleton of Heppner; sisters and partners in crime Diana Ball and her husband Archie, and Rebecca Cannon and her husband Dave, both of Heppner; her great love, grandson Kaden; niece Andrea Fletcher; nephews Duane Ball and Trent Cannon; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty J. Fulleton.
