Jessica Jean Rogers, 34, of Hermiston died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston.
Ms. Rogers was born Sept. 2, 1976, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston to Ronda J.(Rutherford) and Roger Cummings. She grew up in Hermiston and, after a long struggle with her premature birth, began to grow into an active and vibrant girl with a flair for life and activity. She and older brother Zeb performed with their mother in the Western Swing Dance Club, and danced in parades, fairs, and various events in Umatilla and Morrow counties.
She was then united with her close new-found family, including two younger brothers, Russ and Ian, and two younger sisters, Kellie and Jolie. Eventually she grew up and married, becoming the mother to two beautiful children, Dennis (Bubba) Rogers and Harley Rogers.
Survivors include children Bubba and Harley Rogers, both of Hermiston; parents Ronda and Les McLeod of Mt. Vernon; brothers Zeb Cummings of Hermiston, Rustin McLeod of the Air Force in New Jersey and Ian McLeod of the Air Force in North Carolina; sisters Kellie LaFramboise of Echo and Jolie Cobble of the Air National Guard in Denver, Colo.; grandmother Betty Rutherford of Mt. Vernon; grandfather Leslie G. McLeod of Mt. Vernon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
