Marjorie E. “Marge” Terry of Quartzsite, Ariz., former Stanfield, Oregon, resident, was born on April 3, 1934, in Boise, Idaho, to parents Bertrand and Emma Patton Stiff. She died on December 29, 2015, in Sun City West, Arizona, at the age of 81 years.
She was raised and attended school in Idaho. Marge was united in marriage to Jesse L. “Jess” Terry Sr. on December 24, 1956, in Winnemucca, Nevada. They moved to Stanfield, Oregon, in 1977. In 1987 they moved to Quartzsite, Arizona, where she has lived since.
Marge was still working at the age of 80, enjoying the socializing and interaction with others. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, traveling, fishing, and camping.
She is survived by her son Jess Terry Jr., Hermiston, Ore.; daughters Patty Headly, Quartzsite, Ariz., Darlene Terry, Vancouver, Wash., Vonda Putts, Magnolia, Texas, Susan Brewer, Astoria, Ore., Connie Dominguez, Hudson, Fla., and Christine Silver, Waitsburg, Wash.; brother Keith Stiff, Springfield, Ore.; sisters Nita Bachelder, Cottage Grove, Ore., and Afton Ray, Quartzsite, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband Jess Terry Sr., daughter Donna Terry, granddaughter Stephanie Gollyhorn, and her parents.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Mortuary chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
