Eileen Kay McMartin

Eileen Kay McMartin, 67, of Hermiston died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her home.

At her request, there will be no funeral. Disposition was by cremation. Inurnment of cremains will take place later in Bend.

Mrs. McMartin was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Lincoln, Neb., to Robert Paul and Lois Emma (Titus) Megee. She was raised in Lincoln and moved to Redondo Beach, Calif., before moving in 1965 to Bend, where she worked as a motel maid for many years.

In 1974 she married George Albert McMartin in Virginia City, Nev. She lived in Brookings for five years, La Pine for a time, Irrigon, and moved to Hermiston in 1994.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She loved fishing, camping, and the outdoors.

Mrs. McMartin is survived by her husband, George McMartin of Hermiston; sons Michael Sparling and Robert Sparling, both of Hermiston, Rocky McMartin of Phelan, Calif., Ricky McMartin and Rusty McMartin, both of California, and Ronny McMartin of Missouri; daughter Linda Richardson of La Pine; brother Marvin Lang of La Pine; sisters Betty Conners of Bend and Beverly Moye of La Pine; Niece, Debra Christman of La Pine; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Megee, and sister Paula Gillam.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (for Jerry's Kids), 4800 S.W. Macadam Ave., Suite 250, Portland, OR 97201.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
