Dennis was a longtime Hermiston resident. He was born in Baker City, Oregon, to Clifford B. Conner and Virginia (Jenny) Burby Conner on September 26, 1948. Dennis was the middle child of three, with an older brother and younger sister. He attended Hermiston High School, where he was on the wrestling team and competed at the state level his junior year. He graduated in 1969. He was drafted in 1970 into the Army.

He had 2 children, Wendy Lynn, 41, and Tyrone Lee, 37, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He loved his family and was very loyal to them and his friends. Dennis had the heart of a server.

Dennis loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and the mountains. He had many fond childhood memories in Baker City and in Granite, Oregon, at his grandparents’ cabin. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, old coins, comic books and baseball cards. He loved to ride his motorcycle.

Dennis worked for various companies in the Hermiston area, which included Mead's Thriftway, Bob's Red Apple, Americold and Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Dennis was also a lifetime member of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. After a battle with cancer, Dennis won victoriously and peacefully entered into heaven to join his Lord, his parents and grandparents.  

Dennis is survived by his son, Tyrone, his daughter, Wendy, sister, Cynthia, brother, Clifford, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Irrigon at the Stokes Landing Senior Center, 195 N.W. Opal Place, from 2-4 p.m. on the 30th of June.
