Cory Melvin Savage

Cory Melvin Savage was born on August 4, 1976, in Hermiston, Oregon, to parents Melvin and Karen Pritchett Savage. He died on November 9, 2011, near Boardman, Oregon, as the result of an automobile accident at the age of 35 years. 

Cory attended school in Umatilla, Oregon, until the 10th grade when the family moved to Warden, Washington. He graduated from Warden High School in the class of 1994. Cory then joined the United States Marine Corps and served until his honorable discharge and returned to Washington. He married Sami Ring in 2000 and they have two children, Presten and Kailee. 

Cory loved spending time with his children, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He was currently working for Pacific Ethanol in Boardman, Oregon.

He is survived by Sami, Presten, Kailee, his parents, sisters: Sondra (Steve) Pankey, and Cheree (Jeremy) Gillette; brothers: Ryan (Heather) Savage, Spencer (Amber) Savage, and C.J. (Marcie) Savage; grandmother: Alvina Savage; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Together Forever.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Grant St., Umatilla, Ore.

A private family burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Umatilla, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting a donation in memory of Cory Savage to Sundown M Ranch, P.O. Box 217, Selah, WA 98942.
