UMATILLA — The Umatilla Vikings football team displayed another dominant ground attack, as they rolled through Pilot Rock 40-0 on their way to another Columbia Basin Conference victory Friday night.

With the win Umatilla improves to 2-1 in the CBC and 3-3 overall. Pilot Rock remains winless in the CBC at 0-2, and falls to 1-4 overall.

Umatilla quarterback Tony Villanueva got the Vikings on the board early when he scored on a keeper from 3-yards out. The Vikings would hold an 8-0 lead as the first quarter came to an end.

In the second quarter, Umatilla’s running game started to exploit the Rockets weak run defense. Umatilla’s Arjuna Strong exploded for a 45-yard hdown run to give the Vikings the 14-0 lead.
