Umatilla High School senior Stephanie Klucas was cruising to graduation up almost until the start of her senior year, when she and her family received terrible news about her father’s health.

Two days after school got out last year, Klucas said her father learned the cause of the hip pain that had been troubling him for quite some time. Doctors diagnosed him with a progressive form of cancer, and he was told he needed a bone marrow transplant.
