Harry Donald Stout

HERMISTON — Harry Donald Stout died Thursday, March 27, at the Good Samaritan Center in Hermiston.

Don was born on Jan. 8, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the owner and operator of a long haul truck and spent many hours on the road. He was also a veteran.

He married Janet Heard in Payette, Idaho, on April 16, 1976.

Don is survived by his wife, Janet of Hermiston; grandchildren, Kim Winters, Travis Grigsby, David Knowles, Jamie Knowles and Jonathan Knowles; great grandchildren; stepsons, David Knowles of Hermiston and Daniel Knowles of Shelton, Wash.; five stepgrandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, Mike Wines of Hermiston and Ronald Heard of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Judy Goodman of Alaska; niece, Michele McCleery of Hermiston; and other relatives.

At his request, there will be no funeral service. Disposition was by cremation. His ashes will be scattered on the Snake River near Ox Bow Dam and his favorite camping area later this year.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice in Don's name.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
