Cecilia “Elaine” Stefani

ECHO — Cecilia “Elaine” Stefani, 47, of Umatilla died Jan. 7, at Abundant Care Center in Echo.

She was born on March 27, 1954, in Toppenish, Wash., to Robert Lawrence and Clara Bell Lewis Abercrombie.

Elaine married David Stefani on July 4, 1991, in Hermiston. She lived in Umatilla for the past 15 years and came to Oregon in 1985. She grew up in Toppenish, Wash.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. When she got a free moment, she liked to read and smell her candles.

Elaine is survived by her husband, David of Umatilla; sons, Michael Leopold Jr. of Hermiston and Frankie Donald Leopold of Umatilla; daughter, Tammy Wagner of Umatilla; brother, Todd Abercrombie of Irrigon; sisters, Pamela Mack of Echo, Chris Sak of Hermiston and Carol Treddbergg of Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Abercrombie; mother, Clara Zyph; and her sister, Lois Abercrombie.

A memorial graveside service was held Friday, Jan. 11, in the Echo Cemetery. Disposition was by cremation.

The family wishes that memorials be made to the Elaine Stefani Memorial Fund in care of Burns Mortuary of Hermiston at P.O. Box 289, Hermiston, 97838. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
