HERMISTON — With the closure of the Sprint store in Hermiston, Sprint customers seeking a new phone or service must head to the Tri-Cities for help.

Dan Mitzenberg, who also owned the Sprint store in Pendleton, closed up shop last month. A sign on the door reads "We are out of business," along with instructions to press *2 for help.

According to Kathleen Dunleavy, Sprint media spokesperson, Mitzenberg "closed up shop" but she had no details as to why.

"Customers can visit Sprint stores in the Tri-Cities, specifically Kennewick," Dunleavy said.

The store was considered an indirect sales dealer where Sprint products and services are sold. A phone call to the Pendleton store indicated the number had been changed to an unlisted number.

Calls to the real estate office which leases the building where the store was located were not returned before press time.
