HERMISTON ? Ronald D. Heiple, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, at his home in Hermiston.

Ronald was born in Oregon City on May 20, 1944 to Jack M. and Ellen J. Lemon Heiple of Estacada, where he attended 12 years of school before going into the Navy Seabees in 1965, serving his country in Vietnam.

He married Delma Wallain on Oct. 6, 1965 of Estacada. After military service he was employed by Portland General Electric in 1969 where he planned to retire on June 1, 2007 after 38 years with PGE.

He is survived by his wife, Delma Heiple of Hermiston; and their two sons, Vernon Heiple and family of Sheridan, Wyo., and Tonie Heiple and family of Boardman; his father, Jack Heiple of Vale; and sister, Mrs. Gayle Cook of Vale. Do to health issues in the family a memorial service will be held later this spring by the family.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
