The monthly Red Cross Blood drive in Hermiston was held on Nov. 15, at Good Shepherd Medical Center. The goal for November was 25 units, and out of 42 appointments, 35 units were collected.

The canteen this month was furnished by the Catholic Daughters. The personal highlights for this drive were: first time donors — Gina Williams, Richard Williams, Connie Marie Bluhm, and Gloria Milnar; 8 gallon, Robert Forsyth.

The next drive will be Dec. 20 at Good Shepherd Medical Center. The Hermiston drives have been rescheduled to the third Monday of each month. The holiday season is always a high demand time for blood, said organizers. They ask you think about donating and giving a gift that is free from you and priceless to others.

If you would like to give at the Dec. 20 drive, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543). It is important to have appointments, so organizers can be prepared.
