Hermiston Police Department officers detained two juveniles, ages 11 and 12, for criminal mischief May 21 in connection with the vandalism of an excavator and front-end loader on East Punkin Center Road.
Officers from the Hermiston Police Department responded to a construction site in the area of Northeast Seventh Street near East Punkin Center Road at 7:45 a.m. May 21 on a report of vandalism to several pieces of heavy equipment.
Dixon Brothers Plumbing of Hermiston showed officers damage sustained to a large excavator and a front-end loader. The excavator bucket was used to heavily damage the rear of the front loader, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. A set of equipment keys also was missing.
