Georgeann Perry

SODA SPRINGS, Idaho — Georgeann Perry, a former resident of Hermiston, died Friday, Feb. 21, at Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs, Idaho. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at the Hermiston Cemetery.

She was born on March 6, 1931, in Ringling, Okla., to Elmer and Ruby Wilmoth Wimpy. She was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma and lived there until the early 1960s when she moved to California. She lived there for 12 years before moving to Portland and later to Pasco, Wash. She moved to Hermiston in 1980 and lived here until May 1999 when she moved to Soda Springs, Idaho, to be near her family. She was a member of the Hermiston First Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, yard work, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Lonnie Perry of England; daughters, Diane Spittler of Uniontown, Penn., Mary Thompson of Bakersfield, Calif., Lauri Perry of Soda Springs, Idaho; brothers, Elmer Ray Wimpy of Edmund, Okla, Ron Davis of Lake Isabella, Calif.; sisters, Beth Leasher of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lorna Robinson of Kernville, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Perry in 1993; and her daughter, Rhonda Dufur in 1986.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
