An Irrigon, Oregon man died in a two vehicle crash on highway 730 near Boardman Friday afternoon. Juan Ibarra, of Hermiston, was driving a flatbed pick-up and turned into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcycle operated by Joshua ray Dunn, of Irrigon, struck the pick-up and caught fire.

Ibarra got out of his vehicle and attempted to pull Dunn to a safe area away from the fire. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash. Drugs or alcohol don't appear to be a factor in the crash.

Two people were injured, one critically, in another motorcycle crash that closed two southbound lanes of I-5 near Tualatin Friday night. A Harley Davidson operated by 61 yr old William Clyde Markham, of Spanaway, Washington was traveling southbound on I-5 near the Nyberg exit. Riding as a passenger on the motorcycle was his wife Marion Alice Markham.
