HERMISTON — Nina B. Colcord died Saturday, Nov. 4, at Rose Arbor Assisted Living Facility in Hermiston at the age of 94.

She was born Dec. 31, 1911 at Freewater to Isaac and Myrtle (Geiss) Johnson.

Nina was raised in Milton and also lived in Mapleton, Pendleton, Colville, Wash., Billings, Mont., Umatilla, and in Pilot Rock. On Sept. 5, 1929 she married Louis Marion Colcord at Milton. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Umatilla Hospital for many years and also worked as a caregiver. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Nina enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. She made quilts and bedspreads for family and friends and won several ribbons at the Umatilla County Fair.

She is survived by daughter, Ilene Davis of Hermiston; son, Gene Colcord of Kennewick, Wash.; brother, Eldon Wahner of Hermiston; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Louis Colcord in 1995; son, Ronald Colcord in 1972; two grandchildren, Deanna Colcord and Tommy Lee Davis; three sisters, Gladys Fleshman, Bonita Gregg, and Verna Murphy; and two brothers, Laurel and Claude Wahner.

Graveside funeral services was held on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Pilot Rock Cemetery in Pilot Rock.
