Sorting out Medicare options, plans and paperwork can be a challenge, so a new office has opened at Good Shepherd Medical Center to help.

Run by trained volunteers, the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Association — or SHIBA — office is now open in the wellness center at Good Shepherd. The office opened last week, and Kathy Thomas, health and wellness educator, said the office will work with people on signing up for Medicare, choosing options and advocacy.
