Peggy Lue Mason

HERMISTON — Peggy Lue Mason died Friday, Feb. 15, in Hermiston at the age of 76.

Peggy was born in Herrin, Ill., on Oct. 13, 1925, to William and Anna Juenger Rowland. She had been a resident of Hermiston for the past seven years, formerly of Priest River, Idaho. She was a member of the Catholic church and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Manteca, Calif.

She married Merle Mason on April 3, 1954, in Gary, Ind.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Merle Mason of Hermiston; son, Pete Mason of Spokane, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

A Recitation of Rosary was held Monday, Feb. 18, at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston, with burial following at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Vange John Memorial Hospice at 645 W. Orchard Ave., Hermiston, Ore., 97838. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
