SPOKANE, Wash. — Marie "Pat" Hagedorn Hermsen died on Jan. 20, in Spokane, Wash., at the age of 89.

Pat was born in St. Charles, S.D., on Oct. 9, 1927 where after graduating high school she married her beloved husband, Richard Hagedorn and moved to Washington state in 1946.

They lived most of their lives in Walla Walla where Richard worked on the UP Railroad and they raised their three children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard; sister, Eileen Warner of Walla Walla; and brother Merrell Hermsen of Bonesteel, S.D.

She is survived by her three children, Carole Bozarth (Chuck) of Umatilla, Sandy Fritts of Richland, Wash., and Ronald Hagedorn (Marlene) of Salem; seven grandchildren, Shelly Brown, Jeff Outland, Nikki Barber, Marc Outland, Colleen Mangano, Scott Hagedorn and Kristi Hagedorn; and nine great-grandchildren.

The last few years of her life she lived at the Royal Columbian Retirement Inn, in Kennewick, where she enjoyed bingo, pinochle and visiting with her friends.

Interment was at the Waitsburg Cemetery at on Saturday, Feb. 3.
