HERMISTON — Marian Juanita Safford died on Sunday, Nov. 5, at her home in Hermiston at the age of 75.

She was born on Aug, 3, 1931 in Breckenridge, Texas to Ira and Norah Kilbury Pearson.

Marian was a resident of Hermiston for the past 15 years. She married Lee Safford on Sept. 10, 1995 in Hermiston; She attended the Stanfield Baptist Church, she loved gardening and traveling. She had a cow collection.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Safford of Hermiston; sons, Donald Miles of Hermiston; Mike Miles of Pendleton; daughter, Patricia and her husband Michael Holloman of Hermiston; sister, Evelyn V. Pieratt and her husband Fred of Stanfield; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burns Mortuary in Hermiston. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Stanfield Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m.

Burial of Cremains will follow the service at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Stanfield.

Memorials may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
