“Chuck” Lynch

UMATILLA — William C. “Chuck” Lynch died on Dec. 29, at his home in Umatilla at the age of 45.

He was born on March 23, 1956, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Jesse and Sylvia Page Lynch. He was raised in Southern California and graduated from Fortuna High School. He then moved to Southern Oregon.

On Feb. 2, 1980, Chuck married Charlene Perkins in Cottage Grove. They lived in Coquille until 1985 and then in Albany until 1991 when they moved to Umatilla. They had lived there since.

He worked at Automotive Machine Specialties in Hermiston until two years ago when he went to work for Hyster in Pasco, Wash., as a mechanic and machinist.

He was a member of the Umatilla Assembly of God Church and Umatilla Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed car racing, camping, fishing and dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Lynch of Umatilla; sons, Isaac Lynch and Daniel Lynch, both of Umatilla; daughter, Tabitha Lynch of Umatilla; parents, Jesse and Sylvia Lynch of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandmother, Mamie Fields of Bakersfield; brothers, David Lynch of Medford and Tony Lynch of White City; and sister, Katherine Goin of Medford.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Umatilla Assembly of God Church. Disposition was by cremation.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
