"Jim" Logan

HERMISTON — Robert James "Jim" Logan died at his home in Hermiston Sunday, Nov. 24, at the age of 71.

He was born on April 28, 1931, in Seattle, Wash., to Robert and Nelle Brown. He moved to Umatilla as a small child and then moved to Portland, where he graduated high school.

Jim married Nelda Jeanne Vogel. He worked for Mayflower Transport for a time, and then for CBI Collections and lived in Clackamas for many years until he retired in the late 1980s.

Nelda preceded him in death in 1991. He moved to Hermiston in the mid-1990s and had lived here since.

Jim enjoyed drawing and movies, and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his daughters, Jackie Logan of Forest Grove and Karla Logan of Hillsboro; sister, Kathy Smith of West Linn; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Jeanne, and his parents.

A graveside funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Cove Pioneer Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions in Jim's memory to the American Lung Association in care of Burns Mortuary of Hermiston at P.O. Box 289, Hermiston, 97838.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
