A beautiful fall day brought hundreds of people to the SAGE Center on Saturday in Boardman. In its sixth year, the Morrow County Harvest Festival was deemed a success by Lisa Patrick, SAGE Center manager.

“It was great and Mother Nature was so cooperative,” she said.

The free event featured activities both indoors and outside. In addition, dozens of artisan vendors offered handcrafted items.

A Port of Morrow project, the SAGE Center — which stands for Sustainable AGriculture & Energy — features interactive displays and hosts a variety of activities. The visitor’s center has been included in Oregon Business magazine’s top 100 fan-favorite destinations in Oregon for two years in a row.
