A two-vehicle crash blocked all lanes of traffic on Highway 395 in Hermiston Friday morning.

Corey Cook, 41, of Hermiston, was cited for careless driving after his pick-up truck ended up on its side in the middle of the highway.

According to Hermiston Police Department, Cook allegedly pulled out in front of Deborah Cimmiyotti’s silver SUV as she was traveling southbound on the highway in front of G&S Tire Factory near Catherine Avenue. Cimmiyotti, 62, of Hermiston, was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center for evaluation after her vehicle struck the driver’s side of Cook’s vehicle. Cook reported no injuries.

The crash happened at 10:44 a.m. Hermiston Police Department and Umatilla County Fire District 1 responded to the scene and traffic was routed onto side streets while the crash was cleaned up.
