RICHLAND, Wash. — Marilyn Marie Keimig died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Wash., at the age of 59.

She was born in Deckerville, Mich., on Sept. 12, 1943, to Cecil and Bessie Brabant, just before her twin sister, Carolyn. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Deckerville High School in 1961. She then went to work for Yale Rubber, Co. in Sandusky, Mich.

In 1971, she moved to Hermiston to live with her sister, Joan Robers and Norvin. She worked for a short time for John and Helen Smallmon in their law office. After that, she went to work for Starretts Decor Center.

On Dec. 14, 1973, she married Larry Keimig and worked for the next 29 years as owner and manager of Keimig Floorcovering, Inc.

She loved spending time in the Blue Mountains and at her mountain home in Starkey, and bowling in the league with her friends. If one were to ask her to go fishing, she would close the store. Her greatest love was her family and friends and taking care of their wants and needs.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Larry Keimig of Hermiston; son, Andrew Keimig of Lewiston, Idaho; twin sister, Carolyn Kahnt of St. Thomas, Penn.; sister, Eunice Lepa of Port Huron, Mich.; sister, Joan Roberts of Hermiston; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger D. Brabant.
