Janet May Wishard died Friday, Oct. 12 after battling breast cancer for over two years. She would have been 83 in two weeks.

Janet was born on Oct. 25, 1924 in Condon and graduated from Condon High School in 1942. She moved to Lewiston, Idaho where she worked in the weather center at the Lewiston Airport. She married Everett Wishard on March 8, 1952 and moved to Genesee, Idaho where she worked at Asgrow Seed Co. for more than 20 years.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed swimming, playing cards and cribbage, and vacationing in Arizona with her husband.

Janet is survived by her husband, Everett and three children, Cammy Hickman of Nehalem, Christine Johnson of Beaverton, and Jerry Wishard of Federal Way, Wash.; four grandchildren, Steven Johnson of Redmond, Wash., Mindy Holliday of Albany, and Brandon and Jordan Wishard of Federal Way, Washin.; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Katherine Johnson; two brothers, Walter Boyer of Condon, and Jack Boyer of The Dalles; and one sister, Alice Vance of Hermiston.

Her family is thankful to everyone who supported Janet during her illness and especially to the Vange John Memorial Hospice of Hermiston.

Services will be held Friday, October 19 at the Condon Cemetery in Condon at 1 p.m. Remembrances can be made to the Vange John Memorial Hospice, 1050 W. Elm Ave., Suite 220, Hermiston, 97838.
