Morrow County Sheriff Kenneth Matlack announced this week that his office has completed a six-week investigation into the theft of money from the Irrigon High School.

The Sherriff’s Office arrested and released Amy J. Tolar, 37, of Irrigon, on Tuesday after charging her for Theft 1 and First Degree Official Misconduct.

According to state law and the charges against Tolar, she stole between $1,000 and $10,000 from the school, though the Herald was unable to discover an exact amount in this case.

Tolar submitted her resignation Tuesday after nearly two months of being on administrative leave.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look at the case, which Matlack will refer to the Morrow County District Attorney’s Office.
