IRRIGON — Top citizens of Irrigon were honored during the annual Chamber of Commerce Community Awards and Tree Auction banquet Saturday night at the Stokes Landing Community Center.

Bonnie Clow was named Citizen of the Year, Bob and Helen Flournoy were selected as Volunteers of the Year, and Ron Anthony as Educator of the Year.

Kala Neider, 10, and Eva Smith, 13, were honored as Outstanding Young Adults.

Clow, who was instrumental in starting the Irrigon Chamber of Commerce, has served as past president of the organization for several years.

She has been involved in events such as the Irrigon Watermelon Festival, Irrigon Tree Lighting, and a strong influence in construction of the new bike path the extends through town from the west end of the city limits to the east boundary.
