Hungry Heart

Diana Price talks to shoppers at Fiesta Foods on Wednesday about foods good for heart heatlth during Good Shepherd's "Hungry Heart" campaign.

Bright red hearts decorated shelves and displays at local grocery stores this week as part of the “A Hungry Heart” campaign to encourage shoppers to purchase heart-healthy items. Health educators were on hand to answer questions and visit with shoppers March 5-8 at Columbia Harvest Foods in Umatilla and Fiesta Foods in Hermiston. Shoppers could learn how to read food labels, have tips for cooking and receive recipes for nutritious meals. The heart labels also encouraged shoppers to “follow the hearts” to purchase all the ingredients necessary for “healthy, easy and nutritious meal ideas.”
