Charles Franklin Holloman

July 30, 1935-May 8, 2003

IRRIGON — Charles Franklin Holloman died Thursday, May 8, at his home in Irrigon at the age of 67.

He was born July 30, 1935, in Princeton, N.C., to Charles and Ellen Holloman. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 and retired with 20 years of service.

Charles and his family moved to California where he worked at Mare Island Navel Shipyard and retired after 20 years of civil service.

In 1968, he married Lana Wilson and they had two daughters, Sallie and Ronda. They lived in Irrigon from 1968 to 1972, and later returned to Irrigon in 1997 where they resided until the present.

He loved camping and the ocean. He was a member of the V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Lana of Irrigon; daughters, Susan, Sallie and Ronda; grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony, Kyle, Nadya and Santana; sisters, Vi, Mary and Eunice of the east coast; mother-in-law, Addie Wilson; brothers-in-law, Larry Wilson and Loren Wilson; and son-in-law, John Alston.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 10, at the Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Center of Oregon, OHSU Hospital Mail Stop 45 at P.O. Box 4000, Portland, 97208.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston was in charge of the arrangements.
