HERMISTON - Three Oregon authors and a storyteller will visit Highland Hills Elementary School Friday, to perform readings and meet with families.

Making the trip will be authors Nancy Attebury, David Michael Slater and Anne Osterlund, along with storyteller Kathy Hunter. Three of the four have Eastern Oregon connections - Osterlund and Attebury both live and write in the region, and Hunter produces a weekly show on KWVR radio in Enterprise. Slater hails from Pittsburgh originally, but now lives in Portland.

All four visitors plan to give readings and work in classrooms throughout the day. Then they'll host a community night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the same evening. The school is located at 450 S.E. 10th St., Hermiston.
