Sam Herringshaw, agricultural science and technology instructor at Hermiston High School, has been selected as the 2011 Oregon recipient of the Ideas Unlimited award.

The award was given by the National Association of Agricultural Educators.

The award gives NAAE members a chance to exchange teaching ideas with colleagues. Ideas are judged on their originality, practicality, adaptability to instruction and instructional value.

Herringshaw will be competing against award winners from surrounding states for the opportunity to win the regional award.

Regional winners will receive a stipend to attend the 2011 NAAE convention in St. Louis.
