At 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, the Morrow County Sheriff's Office received an emergency dispatch call from the Steven and Sarah Monahan-Rollis home, reporting the possible drowning of their 1-year-old son.

Heppner Ambulance took Timathy Hunter Monahan to Pioneer Memorial Hospital, where he was declared dead at 8:22 p.m., after resuscitation efforts failed.

The sheriff's office said the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office in Clackamas performed an autopsy Wednesday, determining the cause of death was accidental drowning.

The results of the death investigation will be presented to the Morrow County District Attorney's office for review.
