Good Shepherd chef wins state cooking contest

A farmer’s market, a three-course meal and one hour to bring it all together put a Hermiston chef at the top of a state competition.

Jared Bowling, head chef at Good Shepherd Medical Center, was part of the team that won the Oregon Hospitals Green Chef Challenge on Sept. 20 at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.
