Manager of Cottage Event Rentals

When and why did you move to Hermiston?

I grew up in Stanfield, moved to Everett, Washington, in 2000, and moved back here to Hermiston in the fall of 2001.

Where is your favorite place to eat in Hermiston?

Lawan’s Thai restaurant

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Hunt and fish

What surprises you about Hermiston?

How fast it has grown over the last 20 years

What was the last book you read?

Stephen King’s “The Green Mile”

What website or app do you use most other than Facebook?

I’m a big sports nut, so I go to ESPN’s website the most.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Egypt to see the pyramids

What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you?

It’s not super funny, but I worked as an order-filler at the Walmart Distribution Center and I was throwing 4-gallon cases of laundry soap and I accidentally overshot the belt and it flipped over and broke all 4 gallons on the top level of my module. So, after I cleaned it up my entire work area smelled like lavender the rest of the day.

What is one of your goals for the next 12 months?

To keep this business (Cottage Event Rentals) running! It’s been a tough year for everyone, but we’re still here and operational.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Coming from a divorced family growing up, my proudest accomplishment is raising my kids in a stable home with my wife for over 22 years now and giving them opportunities that I didn’t have available to me growing up.
