HERMISTON — The Umatilla Chemical Depot will be under a new command as of Thursday as Lt. Col. Thomas F. Woloszyn steps down during a ceremony set for 4 p.m.

Lt. Col. Frederick D. Pellissier will be the depot’s new commander.

The public is invited to the ceremony, during which the depot flag will be released by Woloszyn to Maj. Gen. John Doesburg, commander of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command. Doesburg will then transfer the flag to Pellissier.

The 234th U.S. Army Oregon National Guard Band will perform during the ceremony. Speakers will include Doesburg, Woloszyn and Pellissier.
