KENNEWICK, Wash. Emery Burke died March 18, 2002, in Kennewick, Wash., at the age of 87.
He was born in Connell, Wash., on Nov. 28, 1914, to Archie and Edith Burke. He attended Kahlotus schools, lived in Tri-Cities, Wash., and retired to Stanfield.
He was a master carpenter and an active member of the Grange. He established his own business, Burke Construction, and co-worked on various projects throughout Tri-Cities, Wash., and Washington state. He was involved with the formation of the Tri-Cities Construction Counsel.
He is loved by all and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis of Tri-Cities, Wash., Mike of Walla Walla, Wash., and Jerry of Spokane, Wash.; son and his wife, Richard and Barb Suarez of White Salmon, Wash.; daughters, Roberta Kristinik and Sharone Hahn, both of Houston, Texas; and 14 grandchildren.
A service was held Friday, March 22, at the Mountain View Cemetery, located at 2120 South Second Avenue in Walla Walla, Wash. Herring Groseclose Funeral Home of 315 West Alder in Walla Walla.
