Mariann Barbara Baumann

HERMISTON — Mariann Barbara Baumann died Sunday, Jan. 20, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston at the age of 58.

Mariann was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Willard Joseph and Lula Mae (Clidon) Cameron. She was a native of Walla Walla and graduated from high school there in 1962. She lived in Echo for one year before moving to Hermiston this past year and worked as a teacher for the Hermiston Education Service District.

She enjoyed watching her son compete in rodeos and was a timekeeper at college rodeos in Walla Walla. She was a member of the Catholic Church and taught swimming at the YMCA in Walla Walla.

Mariann enjoyed working with children and touched a lot of people’s hearts with her loving personality. She was a loving mother who had a special relationship with her son, Nick.

She is survived by her sons, Nick Baumann of Hermiston and Timothy Joseph Atkinson of Boise, Idaho; and sister, Dorothy Cameron of Kirkland, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lula Mae Cameron.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Disposition was by cremation.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
