Gilbert Phillip Albrecht

UMATILLA — Gilbert Phillip Albrecht died Saturday evening, Jan. 12, at his home in Umatilla at the age of 63. A memorial gathering will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, on the Columbia River behind McNary Dam on the boat ramp.

He was born on May 13, 1948, to Bernard LeRoy and Hazel E. (Clayton) Albrecht.

Gilbert lived in the area all his life and attended the Stanfield schools. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Sharron Albrecht; sons, Anthony Albrecht of Kennewick, Wash., and David Albrecht of Bellingham, Wash.,; stepdaughter Dianne Payne of Hermiston; mother Hazel E. Albrecht of Hermiston; his twin brother Hollis A. Albrecht of Kennewick, and brother Edward Albrecht of Springbrook, Wisc.; sisters, Cynthia Dooney of Umatilla, Lynette Blackburn of Portland, Rosalie Albrecht of Stanfield, and Joy Ball of Hermiston.

He was preceded in death by his father Bernard L. and brother Donald L. Albrecht.

Disposition was by cremation.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
