KENNEWICK, Wash. — Adelmira Madrigal died Sunday, Feb. 4, at her daughter's home in Kennewick, Wash., at the age of 60.

She was born June 5, 1946 at Ziracuarendiro, Michoacan, Mexico to Maclobio Madrigal and Soledad Ortiz.

Adelmira was a longtime resident of Irrigon. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston, Oregon. Her joy in life was taking care of her family.

She is survived by her children, Anna, Manuel, Elitonia, and Elsa Mendoza, all of Kennewick, Wash.; sisters, Angelina Madrigal of Santana, Calif., and Elisa, Victoria, Otilia, Adelaida, and Crecenciana Madrigal, all of Mexico; and brother, Pedro Madrigal of Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Mendoza in 2006; daughter, Maria de Rocio Mendoza in 1999; and parents, Maclobio Madrigal and Soledad Ortiz.

Burial was held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Burial followed at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of the arrangements.
