A pair of free concerts feature musicians from the local area.

The Inland Northwest Musicians, under the direction of R. Lee Friese, present their outdoor Summer Pops concerts. They are Saturday at 4 p.m. at Condon City Park and Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Powder River Pavilion at Geiser Pollman Park in Baker City. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

The performances features pieces with the combined ensembles of the Inland Northwest Orchestra and Chorale along with members of the Wallowa Valley Orchestra and the Willow Creek Symphony.

The programs includes: Orchestra: “A Pirate’s Legend,” “The Best of the Beatles” and “A Salute to the Big Bands.” Chorale: “Red River Valley,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat” and “Sleepytime Bach.” Combined Groups: “As Time Goes By,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Summertime.”
