Tickets for the annual banquet to honor Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Hall of Fame inductees are now on sale.

Those being honored include Brad Goodrich of Stanfield, who competed in Round-Up for 30 years; Bill Dawson, a behind-the-scenes volunteer for five decades and this year’s grand marshal of the Westward Ho! Parade; the late Janie Pond, a two-time Happy Canyon princess who later supervised American Indian participants in the Round-Up arena; and Smith & Velvet, who was named four times as the bareback bucking horse of the year by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

The banquet is Sunday, Sept. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center, 1601 Westgate. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 at the Round-Up ticket office, 1114 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton. If available, tickets will be sold at the door for $45.

Founded in 1969, the hall of fame, which is located across the street form the Round-Up Grounds, preserves the history of the Round-Up and Happy Canyon. In 2011, it received honorable mention in True West Magazine’s Top Western Museums. For more information, call 541-278-0815 or visit www.pendletonhalloffame.com.
